Jennifer Ladouceur, MBA, EcD, Ph.D. Candidate
Jennifer is a Ph.D. Candidate studying the future of work and researching the transition to hybrid workplaces and the new leadership style required for the new hybrid workplace model, with a strong focus on Situational Leadership Theory.
Her study also focuses on understanding the impact leading in a new hybrid workplace model will have on female leaders from a leadership style perspective and the potential impact the hybrid workplace has on female leaders’ career advancement.
Jennifer is the Executive Producer and Host of the Women Leadership Nation, Breaking Barriers Podcast, and the upcoming The Hybrid Workplace Revolution™ Podcast series. In addition to her academic research, Jennifer is a public speaker and business writer.
A trailblazing thought leader, Jennifer thrives at developing and launching new solutions, business models, and innovative approaches to solving complex problems and creating new market opportunities. Uniquely positioned, Jennifer’s career spans a diverse range of high-profile leadership positions in both the private and public sectors, providing her with a wealth of knowledge and insight that makes it possible for her to think differently and create new ideas.
Jennifer’s professional experience includes working in the public relations department at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital, funding raising for the new Toronto opera house at the Canadian Opera Company, and business planning and fundraising at the venture capital firm Ogilvie Rothchild Inc., where she specialized in working with technology companies.
Within the government sector, Jennifer has led economic development departments in the Region of Durham, the Town of Whitby, the City of Brampton, and the City of Vaughan, where she created the Vaughan International Commercialization Centre being the first municipal government to open offices in Israel, Italy, and China. Jennifer’s entrepreneurial experience begins with creating The Ingenuity Group, where she wrote business plans for technology companies going public, and the co-founding of IDEACIA ONE, which was sold to Ryan LLC, an international accounting firm.
Jennifer co-founded Women Leadership Nation™ and organizations committed to helping female leaders thrive in their careers and personal lives.
Jennifer is also one of the founding Coralus (formerly SheEO) Activators (www.Coralus.world), a global organization committed to establishing a 1 Billion dollar perpetual fund designed to support female lead entrepreneurs while creating an international support network of radically collaborative women leaders.
Jennifer received 11 marketing awards and the Women of Distinction Award in the Business Category from the YWCA. She holds a Master Business Administration (MBA), Master in Philosophy, Master Certificate in Municipal Leadership, Economic Development Certificate, professional Canadian Economic Development Ec.D. designation, Certification from the Schulich Business Incubator & Entrepreneurship Development Program, Harvard Manger Mentor Certificate, Graduate Diploma in Management, Marketing Management Certificate, Harvard Higher Educating Teaching Certificate, is a Reiki Master, and a Certified TotalSDI™ Facilitator.
Jennifer is currently a Ph.D. Candidate and expects to graduate within the following year. Jennifer’s education is diverse, having studied business, marketing, economic development, public relations, journalism, and graphic design, contributing to her ability to innovate and see problems/opportunities differently.
Jennifer is the award recipient of both the Women of Influence and Women of Inspiration awards for leadership. On a personal level, Jennifer is a proud cancer survivor, passionate about giving back, is a wife and a mother of seven wonderful children.
